Schedule my daily appointment for tranquility

My work schedule pushes me to the point where I find myself going for weeks without respite. How can I expect to outlast this schedule without replenishing myself? If it seems impossible to find 30 minutes in my schedule, I will start with 30 seconds each day: no computer, no phone, no television, no interruptions.

Create 'personal appointments' for breathing room

While some of my appointments are scheduled in advance, other things pop-up beyond my control. I have started observing my surrounding. How pervasive do others around me "Manage by Exception?" To provide more balance, I establish 'personal appointments' in my appointment book where others cannot schedule my time.

Listen to what your body tells you

Sometimes I experience stress temporarily, and I know that it will soon subside. However there was one time that I had a constant pit in my stomach. I would wake up multiple times during the night when I typically sleep soundly. Eventually my anxiety became too much to ignore. It was time to seek help in order to figure out to 'right' my situation.
